c6ex PCD & CBN Cutting Tools — Precision Machining for Non-Ferrous, Composites & Hardened Steel
PCD (polycrystalline diamond) is the first-choice edge material for non-ferrous and abrasive-composite machining: aluminum and magnesium alloys, copper, brass, graphite, fiber-reinforced composites (CFRP/GFRP/GRP), and engineering plastics. On suitable workpieces it can deliver a substantial step-change in tool life versus carbide; the actual gain depends on workpiece, parameters, and rigidity of setup, so we size every tool to your application rather than quote a single multiplier.
Where diamond graphitizes — hardened steel, cast iron, high-temperature alloys — c6ex specifies CBN (cubic boron nitride). CBN retains hardness and chemical stability at temperature, enabling finish-turning and milling of hardened components and, for many hard parts, replacing grinding with hard turning.
Geometry matters as much as the edge material. c6ex milling covers face, square-shoulder, copy, and profile work; turning spans indexable inserts and brazed tools with engineered chipbreakers (for example, geometry that controls the long chips typical of ductile aluminum); drilling covers stepped and PCD-tipped designs. Through-tool cooling and modular constructions are available where the application calls for them.
